This day in English is called “Leap Day” and “Leap year.” The calendar jumps two days compared to last year. Leap = Jump. So on this bonus day, I wanted to share some music to make you jump for joy! Not only is this bonus day going to finish well, but this bonus year will be the best ever yet. Do you feel that? By the end of this playlist, I hope you do. Let’s believe it. It involves stepping into the unknown, embracing change, and taking a bold stride forward, even when the outcome is uncertain. This concept is often associated with courage, belief in one’s abilities, and a willingness to face challenges or pursue opportunities without guarantees of success. In essence, a leap of faith symbolizes a profound act of trust and commitment to personal growth, adventure, and the pursuit of dreams.
What do you hope this extra day will be like? I hope these songs could convince you that it’s going to be another great day!!! I really enjoy the local Sapporo band First Love is Never Returned. I’m excited to see them gain more and more attention in Japan and around the world! Be sure to follow their journey.
We’re lucky to be alive today in 2024! Of course there are hard times, nobody has a struggle-free life. But we are still alive now and here today for a reason. Until I see the light at the end of the tunnel, I’ll keep telling myself that: I’m still here for a reason! Alive in this same time, same generation together with all of you, it’s no coincidence. I personally feel lucky to be living in Japan as well! I hear a lot of people say “I wish I lived abroad,” or “I want to leave Japan,” but I definitely feel lucky living here. Especially raising our two young girls here in Hokkaido. Food is great, people are amazing, the nature and sights are fantastic. No country is perfect, but we feel safe and lucky to be living in Japan. What about you? Are you happy and feeling lucky where you’re living now? Some of us are also made to live somewhere else, keep praying about it and keep going for it! But wherever we go, let’s focus on the good things wherever we live, and be grateful for what we have, instead of focusing on what we don’t have. A grateful heart is how we can wake up feeling lucky each and every day this year of 2024!
