One of the first media-related jobs I received back in 2011 was to be a radio DJ at the local Hokkaido radio station 80.4 FM AIR-G’.
I’ve since been asked to do a few English title calls, and sometimes get the chance to be a guest DJ on the show “MUSIK BARISTA.” This show is music-heavy, introducing daily playlists based on a weekly theme by artists and media personalities based in Hokkaido. I highly recommend listening to this if you love music and enjoy discovering new artists!
One song can change your mood, change your day, change your life!
I fell in love with Japanese music when I was 13 years old, and since then have been hooked on the Japanese language and culture. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the amazing singers and bands I’ve listened to over the years. I now enjoy a variety of music over different genres and languages. I focus on sharing English songs with my friends here in Japan, and still enjoy a fun Japanese rock concert once in a while.
Here are a few music playlists I’ve made previously:
Sweat – Exercise Playlist
From classic exercise tunes to uplifting lyrics that makes you want to surpass your physical limits!
Songs for a Rainy Day
Calm, mellow music that makes you want to watch the drops falling down on your window.
